Dear Friends and Lovers,

Please come by and join us for a final round of Spritz and shopping for beautiful Australian clothing and vintage furniture at fantastically discounted rates today, Saturday, and Sunday at Line Gallery. After the weekend, we will take a short hiatus and towards the end of May the store will be entirely online.

So this is your last chance to buy locally and our last chance to celebrate spring with you at Linienstr. 159.

We look forward to seeing you here.

SPRING SPRITZ SATURDAY SALE

Dear Followers of Line Gallery,

Here is our bittersweet declaration:
Line Gallery at Linienstr. 159 will close at the end of April due to Berlin's obsession with arm und sexy [poor but sexy] and cold weather. We will open an online store where all items will still be available. Next stop: New York in Summer, Melbourne in Southern Winter

This means that it is our responsibility to take advantage of our space.

To start, we invite you all to join us at the shop every Saturday this month (10th, 17th, 24th) for

SPRING SPRITZ SATURDAY SALE:
come have a Spritz (proseco & Aperol) with us and
buy some discounted clothing.
12-7pm this SATURDAY and all the rest in April

April is your last chance to try on clothing from Ksubi, Bassike, Rittenhouse, Sass & Bide, Claude Maus, ffixxed, and Stolen Girlfriends Club or shoes from Illex Kinni and then take them home immediately to your apartment or house in Berlin. YOU WILL HAVE TO SHOP FOR ALL OF THESE LABELS ONLINE - NO WHERE ELSE  IN BERLIN SELLS THE RANGE WE HAVE.

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday. We take cash and credit for clothes, but the drinks, of course, are our treat.

Unseen Utopias: Form following function
FFiXXed, the latest S/S 10 arrival at Line Gallery, has something to do with the causally utilitarian and conceptual mutli-layered minimalism, while simultaneously revealing varying shapes and deconstructing an article of clothing's original intent. With their academic approach to fashion and art, Australians Kain Picken and Fiona Rae have created a line of covetable, wearable pieces from which we've selected a few of the gems most suitable to our understated local audience.
Take a look here at what we've got of theirs:
Get your umbrella, come by and try it on. You can even take something home with you.

Down Under!

Although we got back from Australia a little while ago, we're still told by pale Germans that we seem tanned, which I think is cool! Above you will see an example of how well I, an ignorant American, adapted to Australian culture. Take particular note of Australia T-shirt with Koalas (detail below), Line Gallery Tote and Illex Kinni shoes. I was lucky enough to be led through Sydney by ex-Berliner, former and current New South Welschman, Emma Pike.

This is what else I learned to appreciate in Australia:

And this is what we are missing in Berlin:

And this is us about a week before the Jeep broke down, leaving us stranded on a strip of highway outside of Wollongong.

It's still winter here no matter how much we get down on our knees and grovel for its end. Come by the shop and we will at least tell you about what summer feels like so you can start to remember. We can talk about it over Caipirinha's from the great Brazilian place next door (we are into cultural integration) and pretend the ice doesn't make our teeth hurt .

Keep your eyes and ears open for updates soon.... new collections coming from Bassike, Rittenhouse, Ksubi, and ffixxed as well as a RELOCATION SALE over the next few weeks!
